Is it the time to believe all our myths?Because an evangelical exploration group calimed to have found the Legendary and Biblically significant Noah’s Ark atop Turkey’s Mt Ararat.The explorers claimed that they found the seven wooden compartments amidst the snow and volcanic debris as The Bible had originally claimed about the Ark’s position.
The 15 strong team of fundamentalist Christians along with filmmakerYeung Wing-Cheung that they are “99.9 percent sure” that they have found the real Ark.The team also informed the press that the wood taken from the site,13,000 feet above sea level dates back to 2800 B.C.The team of Turks and Chinese archeologists of Noah’s Ark Ministries International stated that they discovered the Ark back in last October.But The Deaprtment of Ancient History at Oxford University refuted the claims as “nonsense”.
The Legend of Noah’s Ark is found in Chapters 6-9 in the Book of Genesis in The Bible.It refers to the story how the righteous man Noah saved his family and a representative of each lifeform on a vast wooden ship at the God’s command after He punishes the wickedness of mankind with a devastating flood.If the claims of these explorers prove to be true,then it would be one of the greatest Discoveries in the History and perhaps the most significant regarding Biblical History.
